Qaysariyah Suq
The Qaysariyah Suq, located in Muharraq, Bahrain, is a minimalist space designed by Studio Anne Holtrop, imbued with deep historical and cultural significance. During the pearl economy era, this market played a vital role as a hub for trade and a storage site for the wood used in constructing pearl diving vessels.
In its recent renovation, the new warehouses were predominantly built in concrete, while the bathrooms stand out for the integral application of Picasso marble, supplied by the Galrão Group. This marble was used for the flooring, wall cladding, doors, sinks, and accompanying cabinetry, creating a harmonious and seamless environment where the uniformity of the stone brings a sophisticated and contemporary aesthetic to life.
