Cork and Marble Dialogue: A Tribute to Portuguese Natural Materials
The Cork and Marble Dialogue collection was born out of the BROOT project, an initiative that celebrates the richness of Portuguese raw materials and promotes creative dialog between different natural materials. Developed by JMM Design Studio, this collection is inspired by the ancient forms of megalithic monuments and the imposing silhouettes of cork oaks, resulting in contemporary and timeless design pieces.
Promoted by ASSIMAGRA and curated by OLIVAH, BROOT is a tribute to the cultural heritage of our natural materials.This project combines tradition and innovation, enhancing Portuguese production and projecting the national industry onto the international stage.
In the Cork and Marble Dialogue collection, the symbiosis between White Safari marble, with a honed finish, and sculpted dark cork gives rise to unique pieces such as consoles, tables, vases, centerpieces and lamps. These creations reflect a commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, transforming the best that comes from the earth into art and innovation.
